Our Story
Kelly Larson began her love of ice cream in 1985 when she got her first job at Temptations on Chinook Pier in Grand Haven. When the store came up for sale four years later, she begged her parents, Ray and Diane Murray, to buy it. Over time, they decided that they'd like to control the quality and flavors of their ice cream and that began a quest in making and producing their own ice cream.
The Murrays also purchased a store on Chinook Pier called Fatz Fudge, and turned it into "Candyland". There the family developed candy recipes and perfected their famous caramel corn. Winter arts and crafts shows as a hobby showed holiday demand so the team looked for a year round location to combine the production of ice cream and confections. In 1999 they started Sweet Temptations at the corner of Beacon and Taylor in Grand Haven. In 2009, they moved their store to it's current location in the Grand Landing development at the corner of Beacon and Jackson.
